BoronDNS achieved 26 Mqps on a single 20-core ARM computer
BoronDNS achieved 26.007 million positive DNS responses per second on a single ASUS Ascent GX10, using its NVIDIA GB10 processor and ConnectX-7 network adapter.
The test used BoronDNS's opt-in AF_XDP zero-copy path with CPU-local queue workers. Across three fresh 30-second runs, packet loss ranged from 0.00061% to 0.00142%.
What this measures
This is a deliberately tuned hot-query workload: one repeated name, four A records with EDNS, and 120-byte DNS responses. It measures positive-response throughput under those conditions.
It is a development build result, not a general Internet-facing capacity guarantee. Production capacity depends on the zone, query mix, response sizes, DNSSEC, rate-limiting policy, NIC configuration, and the traffic pattern in front of the server.
